Domestic Long Distance
For those of you who are unsure what it is, domestic long distance refers to those telephone calls you place anywhere within the United States (both from and to).
These rates have been steadily dropping over the past several years. Just a few years ago, anyone paying 10 cents or less per minute was doing very well. Remember that? It hasn't been that long ago. Look at where those rates are now. Well, that depends on who your carrier, or provider is. The big boys continue to charge you on the heavy side, while offering competitive plans to certain locations or to other of their customers. There are often catches, so be careful. Know what both your in-state and state-to-state calling rates will be.
If you call internationally as well as domestically, consider using a dial-around or calling card for calling to those other countries. You'll usually pay less.
